QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

ATA Freight is an U.S. based global logistics provider with its own offices in USA, INDIA, TURKEY, CHINA, MEXICO and RUSSIA. ATA Freight has evolved from a traditional international freight forwarder to one of the leading global providers of innovative and fully integrated supply chain solutions. We are a certified NVOCC, one of the first members of C-TPAT, as well as IATA and FIATA members.

 We are looking for agressive and qualified team member for our Agency Team in İstanbul as AGENCY NETWORK MANAGER.

 -  He / She must be holding a University Degree.

-   Fluent in both written and spoken English, (preferably a second language)

-   Proven track record of selling and winning business.

-   Min 7 years of experience in Business Development / Network or related business experience of International Freight Forwarding Companies.(More than 2 years of team management experience.)

-   Must maintain a professional, positive attitude and demeanor, and have the ability to accurately execute multiple tasks.

-   Must exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent problem-solving skills, and be detail-oriented.

-   Must possess excellent time management and organization skills.

-   Experience working in a deadline-driven environment preferred.

-   Able to interact with various personnel at customers/shippers, carriers/agents.

-   Excellent leadership skills, analytical skills and enthusiasm. Proven track record of demonstrating role model competencies for the team.

-   Must have no restrictions for international business trips, be able to adapt to flexiable working hours.

-   Driving Licence and active driver.

-   Male candidates must have completed military service.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position will be directly reporting to the General Manager. The key responsibilities of the position are described as follows:  

  

1.   To support the determination of the agency management strategies, targets and policies of the company and to ensure their implementation.

2.  To find new agencies in the regions where he/she is responsible for business development and to initiate cooperation.

3.   To analyze the performance of the agencies, to maintain the agency relations and to prepare development plans in order to ensure profitability.

4.    Determining and achieving monthly agency targets, acting together with agencies to improve the service provided to the customer.

5.    To comply with the rules, policies and practices of the agency.

6.    To respond to agency requests within 3 hours at the latest

7.  Before responding to the first requests from overseas agencies, to check the membership of the said agency in the network of which Ata Freight is a member, to sign an "Agency Agreement" with non-member agencies, to send a copy to the Law Department and to open a record through the ERP system.

8.     To follow up the prices given to the agencies, to convert them into business.

9.     Following the completion of the agency sales activity, transferring to the operations department in accordance with the desired format and ensuring coordination.

10.  To determine the most suitable supplier to the regions for all kinds of agency demands and to make price studies on time and in the most accurate way.

11.   Attending supplier meetings and developing supplier relations.

12.  To make maturity agreements with suppliers, to negotiate special conditions, if deemed necessary.

13.   To provide the best service at the best price in the working regions by following the market closely.

14.   To follow the performance criteria determined for the department, to ensure that these criteria are not exceeded, and to take the necessary actions in case of failure.

15.   To know and apply the legal regulations related to the job, to follow the changes and to ensure their implementation.

16.   To be responsible for the satisfaction of the agencies related to their work and the quality of the service. To find a solution to the complaints received from the agency related to the department, within the scope of the Customer Relationship Management System, together with the Management Representative and to ensure their implementation

17.  To be responsible for the timely, accurate and complete fulfillment of the legal obligations and business processes related to the job.

18.   To be responsible for the accuracy, storage and confidentiality of business records and information.
