Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description

  • Take responsibility for various IT systems (SCCM, Active Directory, Exchange and other messages systems, Endpoint Security, VDI, etc.) in a multiskilled approach.
  • Design, install, configure, test, and maintain IT systems and system management tools.
  • Manage and monitor installed systems.
  • Proactively ensure the highest level of service availability in a 24/7 production environment.
  • Provide 3rd level support.
  • Maintain a proactive view on capacity and performance of IT systems.
  • Conduct regular performance analysis to identify and mitigate performance flaws.
  • Enable automation.
  • Contribute to and maintain system standards.
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
  • Develop and maintain security, backup and redundancy strategies.
  • Train 1st and 2nd level support teams.
  • Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
  • Maintain operational, configurational, and other procedures.
  • Maintain topology, inventory, and service specification documents.
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
  • Provide consultancy and input to solution design, pre-sales, service delivery.
  • Communicate technical and non-technical information to technical support groups, customer support centers and end-users as required.

 

Job Requirements

At least 5 years of hands-on experience in System Administrator/Engineer positions.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electrics/Electronics Engineering, or related departments.
Very good command of English.
One or more items of the following technical skill sets are required in line with the ITIL methodology:

Experience with Microsoft Windows NT based operating systems design, implementation, maintenance, administration and troubleshooting in an enterprise environment.

At least 3 years of hands-on experience in following Microsoft SCCM features.

  • ZTI & LTI OS deployment with Microsoft Deployment Kit
  • Server and Client Patch and software deployment / Reporting
  • Hardware and Software inventory and asset management tracking
  • Desired Configuration Management and compliance reports
  • Software and script packaging

Experience with virtualization and virtual desktop infrastructure (Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, VMware Horizon, Microsoft Remote Desktop Services).
Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Networking Services.
Experience with Microsoft Exchange Server.
Experience with Fortimail, Sendmail, Postfix, Zimbra, BIND, Squid, Apache.

Solid scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, VBScript, WSH, shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python)

Experience with Endpoint Security (e.g., Sophos, McAfee)

Experience with industry standard servers and blade systems architectures (e.g., HP, IBM, Fujitsu, Dell).
