Finance & Accounting Manager

Job Description:

We are looking for a Head of Finance and Accounting to establish and manage the financial operations of new projects in various fields such as mining, energy, oil, construction, and many more, by making significant investments in Turkey.

The suitable candidate for this role is expected to have experience in financial and accounting management in various industries, especially in mining, energy, oil and gas industry, as well as having served as a finance manager or assistant manager. The candidate should be fluent in both advanced level English and Turkish and residing in Istanbul.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the company's financial strategies and accounting operations

• Manage financial reporting processes, ensure the accuracy and currency of financial statements

• Prepare the company's tax returns and monitor tax legislation

• Manage budgeting and cash management processes

• Prepare tax declarations and monitor tax legislation

• Manage working capital, credit management, and financial risk management processes

• Conduct financial analysis and reporting, contribute to strategic decision-making processes

• Manage financial transactions related to banks, customers, and suppliers

• Establish and implement financial control mechanisms and procedures

• Manage cash flow, bank accounts, and credit card transactions

Qualifications:

• Have at least a bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related fields, and preferably a master's degree

• Have served as a finance manager or assistant manager in various industries for at least 5 years

• Have experience in mining, energy, oil and/or gas industry

• Possess a strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, accounting, tax and financial legislation

• Be able to use advanced level Excel and financial analysis tools

• Possess strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills

• Have leadership, communication, and team management skills

• Be fluent in both English and Turkish

• Reside in Istanbul or be open to relocating to Istanbul
