• 4 years’ law school degree (from reputable Law Schools, Master's Degree (LL.M) is preferred)
• Qualified legal practitioner admitted to the Bar
• 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience whether in-house or with a law firm.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience (food industry)
• Experience of labour, capital markets (investor relations) and contract laws
• High degree of motivation, excellent organizational and communication skills and strong academic background
• Able to work with and communicate effectively with non-lawyers
• Proficient in spoken and written English language
• Proficient in spoken and written Turkish language

İŞ TANIMI

The company is seeking a business-minded Legal Counsel to join the legal and compliance team. The Legal Counsel will assist in managing Turkey based operations from a legal, compliance and investor relations perspective. The Legal Counsel will be a generalist and will advise Banvit and operations on all legal and compliance matters affecting Banvit and other areas as assigned.
 
Contract Analysis & Legal Advice

• Review commercial contracts, agreements, legal documents and registrations and licenses for the technical fitness and legal compliance of such documents in markets / environments of their currency.
• Provide counsel and guidance to internal clients, where authorized, on contractual matters and associated legal issues and participate in contract review and negotiation to ensure that the best interests of Banvit are protected / secured.
• Assist the Legal Manager in managing the priorities and pressing issues to meet the deadlines and commitments to internal clients.

Investor Relations &Compliance

• Assist the Legal Manager with managing AG and Board meetings: agendas, minute taking and follow-up actions.
• Assist the Legal Manager in preparing technical notes and reports for Head of Legal at the parent company’s level.
• Ensure the renewal of corporate documentation, including trade licenses, POA’s, Board Resolutions and other corporate certificates and registrations.
• Provides reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep the Legal Manager informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts.
