Procurement Senior Analyst

OBJECTIVE

• As part of the BRF Procurement team, lead, develop, negotiate and implement grains negotiation for meals, oils and different type of supplementary stuff in close collaboration with the main stakeholders (factories, Agro and QA) for 3 feed mills in Bandırma, İzmir and Elazığ. 

 • Taking responsibility in defining short, middle and long term grains strategy for the region 

• Responsible for leading system design projects to improve the procurement processes and business results for those sub-categories. 

• Being a member and sometimes leader of developing and implement grains efficiency projects in close collaboration with the Feed Meal Operations and experts. 

• Taking part in creating new ideas to data management issues and tracking targets of procurement department. Developing required database and creating procurement performance reports to present to the procurement and the related departments in the region. 

REQUIREMENTS

• Economic / Engineer / Business Background (Food Engineering, Agricultural Engineering and Industrial Engineering background is an asset) 
• 5-7 years experience in Procurement & 2-3 years experience to negotiate grain categories (asset)  
  
• Fluent in Turkish & English
• Solid knowledge / background of Turkish, black sea and European Market
  
• Being familiar with budget, cost, finance mathematics
  
• Negotiation skills / Project analysis
  
• Expertise in the tools of Strategic Sourcing and related concepts (TCO-Total Cost of Ownership, Supplier Development, Market Research etc.)
  
• Experience in ;

o ERP (SAP or Oracle) – Procurement (MM). 
o Technical analysis about the data from stock markets (CBOT, local sources) 

o Generating alternative sourcing techniques; premiums, exchange markets, applying risk management tools. 

o Contract management 

o MS Office applications (Excel, PP etc)

RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Take an active role in defining strategy of supplying SBM for all Feed Mills (buying local or external market). Sourcing suppliers from different countries and Black sea. Ensure supplying of all factory with the best cost comparing to the market complying with Quality standards defined by the company. 
  
• Having a key role in developing strategy of supplying Vegetable oil for all Feed Mills (buying local or external market). Sourcing suppliers from different countries and Black sea. Ensure supplying of all factory with the best cost comparing to the market complying with Quality standards defined by the company.
  
• Manage logistics according level of stocks strategy, hire freight in order to supply grains strategically, ensuring best total cost for all factories. Prospect different alternative of logistics model in order to reduce cost and increase efficiency.
  
• Manage stocks of all meals and oils according supply stragegy. Ensure stocks cycle in order to ensure silos and warehouse clening process. Reduce stocks cost in order to maximize BRF cash flow results.
  
• Source and increase usage of alternative raw material in order to optimize and reduce total cost of the formulation. This activity needs to be done together with Agricultural team 
  
• Develop alternative suppliers in order to reduce cost according to quality standards and operation defined criterias 
• Making continuous analysis about the global and local market, economical changes and all related drivers to increase the decision quality in procurement strategies to create a sustainable competitive advantage to BRF.
• To take an active role to create short-mid-long term procurement strategies and budgeting process of grains under his/her responsibility.
• Lead or take an active role in improvement projects such as: 

o Increasing Payment terms 

o Improving Alternative suppliers/sources 

o Developing alternative materials and methods to save money and improve process and product quality.  

• Get quotation / negotiate with suppliers / validate with Stakeholders / approve negotiation as per Policy / Create PO and contract / Follow up delivering / treat divergences 
  
• Contract managements,
  
• Taking the relevant precautions due to provide a continuous supply at a required level of service and material quality. 
  
• Taking the critical actions in case of any kind of supply problems.
  
• Taking active role in master data management for procurement processes
  
• Providing periodical reports and presentations for the managerial level of company
