Accounting Specialist

Barilla Turkey is looking for an Accounting Specialist based in Istanbul to join Finance Team. The individual will hierarchically report to  Accounting & Cash Manager-Turkey.

Job Description

• Reviewing and matching of supplier invoices and posting into the accounting system
• Reviewing  and posting the personnel expenses
• Posting accounting entries related to import transaction invoices.
• Posting and tracking of provisions related to sales and marketing
• Following up and checking datas from another systems and comparing them with accounting entries.
• Reconciliation between accounting system and modules on Logo
• Effective communication with other departments
• Being a good team player in projects and provide support.
• Monitoring developments and changes in Turkish Tax legislation and ensuring correct implementation
• Maintaining communication with auditors,
• Preparation and filing of tax returns (corporate income tax, stamp duty, VAT return, withholding tax etc.)
• Preparation of VAT refund documentation and follow up with authorities

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Economics departments
• Min. 3 years of experience in Accounting, preferably in manufacturing firm
• Experience in import and intercompany transactions is an asset
• Good command of both written and spoken English
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications and preferably Logo Unity accounting program
• General knowledge on Tukish Code of Commerce, Code of Obligation and Statutory Local requirements
• Detail oriented; ability to work in multi-project environment and to meet deadlines
• Good analytical thinking skills
• Teamwork oriented with good communication skills
