QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

The Commercial Manager is responsible for development and execution of the overall Marina’s commercial strategy, setting KPIs, budget and action plan, working with the merchants (AVM and restaurants), advertising, partnership, sponsorship, loyalty, event and entertainment programs as well as promoting Marina locally and globally with the objective to sustain and maximize seasonal and increase non-seasonal revenue generation. The Commercial Manager will report to the Commercial Director and cooperate with the Marina, Hotel, Financial, and Administrative departments and focus on the Loyalty, Sales, Events and Entertainment, Marketing, Advertising, PR, Branding and Sponsorship and Finance functions to provide for maximum impact on the Marina’s financial performance.

 

Essential Functions

Develop and manage implementation of the marina Annual and Seasonal Commercial Strategy and tactics, including Sales, Advertising, Entertainment, Sponsorship components, KPIs, Action Plan and Budget with the aim to increase sales via general marina public access territories, merchants (AVM), eatery shops and restaurants, indoor and outdoor advertising spaces, provide all necessary support to the Commercial Director to facilitate sales of the Marina berthing and hospitality and spa services;

 Revise, maintain, improve and control execution of all revenue generating documentation including proposals, contracts, and loyalty and promotional agreements and etc.;

Maintaining merchants relationships (AVM, eatery, spa and wellness, etc.) , control the process of fees, payments and debts collections;

Provide full support to Marina and Hotel Sales Programs;

Conduct value assessment of all of the revenue generation and financial performance related proposals and partnership packages in the areas of sales, advertising, event, fairs, sponsored projects, partnerships, etc.;

Development of sales stimulating campaigns and opportunities to sustain the 12 month revenue generation for the general marina public access territories, merchants (AVM), eatery shops and restaurants, indoor and outdoor advertising spaces , coordinate with the Hotels Operations Manager to include promotion of hospitality and spa services into the campaigns;

Ensure maximization of cross-sales via Hyatt Centric marketing and sales channels;

Work with sponsorship management companies in identifying prospects and selling sponsorships and fundraising activities;

Manage sponsor relations: monitor brand-book application guidelines observance, promotional restrictions and recognition programs to ensure fees paid are proportionate to benefits delivered;

Prepare briefs for all sales, sponsorship, events and promotional activities related materials, including advertisements, new releases, announcements and etc.;

Regularly coordinate with all operational functions to secure benefits that are incorporated into commercial packages;

Arrange and lead meetings with interested commercial prospects, prepare special commercial packages for all revenue generating parties;

Lead sales process, negotiate and review all deals, prepare contracts;

Greet and cultivate Marina at the sponsored events;

Obtain Commercial Director’s approval for any departures from pre-approved obligations, rights and benefits;

All other responsibilities and tasks as assigned by the CEO, COO, and Commercial Director.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 08:30 a.m. to18:30 p.m. This position regularly requires long hours and weekend work.
