We are looking for a “Market Analyst” for Borusan EnBW Energy.

 QUALIFICATIONS

• Hold a BSc. degree from engineering, mathematics, economics or business administration,
• Preferably hold a master’s degree in business administration, management, finance or data science,
• Have work experience, preferably in trading departments of reputable energy companies, energy start-ups, or management consultancy firms
• Strong fundamental understanding of energy markets
• Have high analytical skills,
• Be ambitious to overcome business challenges and curious to learn,
• Be proficient in English,
• Have advanced MS Office skills,
• Have knowledge in data analytics.

JOB SCOPE

• Conduct ad-hoc market analysis and regular reports on the Turkish power market
• Coordinate BEE’s monthly price forecasting process
• Responsible for yearly Turkish LTA (Long Term Assumption) to forecast the electricity prices for the mid and long term
• Identify and highlight trends, drivers, and market developments to support Borusan EnBW in commercial decision-making and portfolio optimization
• Apply fundamental power market models and identify ways to improve the existing methodological framework
• Identify and prepare assumption sets for fundamental market models and Borusan EnBW’s long-term planning processes
• Enhance the qualitative assessment of relevant market constraints like the regulatory and political agenda
• Manipulate large datasets and determine correlations and relationships between potential market drivers
• Review external analyses (e.g. from consultants, think tanks etc.) and help to improve Borusan EnBW’s view on fundamental drivers
• Understand the risks in the markets and contribute to the company risk committee
• Present and communicate results and issues relating to power markets to a range of stakeholders within Borusan EnBW and its shareholders
• Work closely and develop effective working relationships with Sales Trading and Strategy teams to ensure optimal cooperation, information flow and decision making
