Renewables Engineer

We are looking for a ‘Renewables Engineer’ for Borusan EnBW Energy.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Meteorological Engineering departments of universities,
• Minimum 1 years of relevant project experience,
• 2+ years experience in at least two technical fields,
• Capable of performing all needed project engineering and administrative tasks,
• Good IT skills and excellent knowledge of MS Office package and Assessment Tools (WindPro, WasP, Python, CFD, PVSyst etc.)
• Ability to produce clear written reports and communicate professionally in English and Turkish,
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills,
• Excellent leadership, influencing, teamwork, and communication skills,
• Experience as engineer in the wind and solar energy industry in variety of sectors such as manufacturers, project developers and consultants is highly desirable,
• Ideally having hands-on knowledge and experience of yield assessments, layout design, data handling and performance evaluations of power plants,
• Awareness of local Health and Safety rules and regulations.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Good understanding of wind and solar resource modelling
• Validate studies and ensure proper and accurate wind and solar measurement data is collected,
• Set up, control and monitor wind/solar measurement campaigns withmet masts or LIDAR on a continuous basis and check for data quality,
• Prepare in-house assessment studies using WindPro-Wasp, Python, PVSyst and CFD,
• Provide support to third party consultants during due diligence process,
• Participate in engineering studies and PM activities,
• Ensure compliance with technical standards, quality & operational safety requirements, environmental constraints, as well as company policies and procedures,
• Participate in PM activities like project planning and guiding site engineers on his technical area,
• Asset management support with performance evaluations of power plants
• Participate and support improvement projects
