The British Embassy in Ankara is part of a world-wide network representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas and is now looking to hire a Security Guard.

We expect our security guards to set an example in respecting British Embassy in Ankara internal procedures as well as the law and display a pleasant and professional demeanour at all times.

This role will include shift and weekend working.

Roles and responsibilities:

·        Responsible overall security of Embassy compound, School, RLC area, DHM Residence and Lower compound .Checking occurrence book and patrol records;

·        Carry out duties in consultation with the PSM. In charge of all visit to the (Reception, Dinner, Cocktail parties and other functions);

·        Prior to VIP visits, provide necessary security arrangements with PSM and arrange meetings with other security organisations;

·        To liaise between Embassy, UK Based Staff and the Alarm Company and also train UK Based staff usage of alarm system;

·        Check for the letters bags parcels delivered to the Embassy;

·        Clocking rounds;

·        Search vehicles and visitors;

·        Monitoring CCTV;

·        Access Control of the visitors and staff;

·        Physically control around of the Embassy.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience  

·        Fluency at C1 level in Turkish and B1 in English (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages*).

·        Minimum 3 years of experience in a Security role;

·        High school diploma;

·        Hold a valid Security Certificate 5188;

·        Communicate clearly and concisely, both oral and written.

Desirable qualifications, skills and experience  

·        Clean and valid Turkish Driver's Licence.
