What you will be doing as an OT & Automation Manager Black Sea- Izmir Plant/ Thrace Plant/ Lehliu Plant

The focus of the role is to work closely with Automation Engineers in order to leverage technology used to improve, streamline and automate a manufacturing process. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising such technology within the plants.

Main accountabilities

• Working actively in the global automation working group to define global standards and collaborate with teams from other regions to share best practices (processes control strategy, automation and instruments strategy, wired and wireless networks strategy, advances control proposals, advances sensoring proposals, etc).
• Management of activities related to OT and from Automation Engineers. Implement the OT global standards regionally.
• Management of the execution of the necessary of the execution of the necessary maintenance, upgrades, and new projects with the operating units
• Map and development of local and regional vendors to support implementation process
• Definitions related to the infrastructure and architecture of networks together with other areas of the company, aiming at the segregation between IT and OT networks.
•  Integration and data communication between the most diverse layers of the network, following applicable cybersecurity protocols.
• Explore and implementing new ways to automate systems
• Design and testing automation equipment and processes
• Support in defining wireless OT network and communication protocols needed to ensure connectivity.
• Interaction with process historians, enabling communications and data for deeper analysis
• Interaction with different communication protocols (Profibus, OPC UA and DA, Profinet).
• Support in supervising projects involving ICS and Industry 4.0 update
• Work together with industrial and IT teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions
• Connect with several corporate areas and preparation of technical documents, presentations, and reports
• Connect and collaborate with teams from other regions of the world to share best practices and global standards definitions
• Prepare and/or review equipment EIA standards/specifications/data sheets and related construction bid packages. Assure system and product quality by defining acceptance requirements. Prepare and/or review and monitor controls on scheduling and project costs.

The position will have 5 reports (automation engineers) located in Poland, Austria and Hungarian plants and will report to our Regional Automation and Operations Technology Manager- currently located in Martfu, Hungary.

Knowledge and Requirements:

• Proficient English; Polish skills preferred
• Knowledge Tools: Microsoft Office Package, Excel Advanced, Tableau, Power BI
• Strong knowledge of Hazardous Location rating assessments. Knowledge in NFPA 36 and 61 are a plus along with working knowledge of LOPA and HAZOP.
• Knowledge in OsiSoft Pi or similar software to implement Industry 4.0 will be highly considered.
• Availability for frequent travels- about 3 weeks/ month (each plant needs to be visited on a monthly basis)
• Soft skills: curious, resilient, organized, prioritization of demands

Education / Experience

• University degree in Automation Engineering/ Engineering
• Proven experience in automation engineering of 3-5 years
• Project Management experience is a plus
• 2 years experience in a management role
• Demonstrated project control experience including the ability to control scope, cost, and schedule on all assigned projects. Experience with Microsoft Project or related software a plus.
• Experience developing logic diagrams, one-line diagrams, panel/hardware design, and operator interface functional outputs. Prior experience developing standards, specifications, and data sheets related to EIA deliverables including power distribution, instrumentation and automation, and PLC integration required. Design and installation experience with PLC and/or DCS systems required
• Experience in implementing Industry 4.0 projects during the last years is a plus.
