Digital Design Engineer - FPGA

QUALIFICATIONS 

Fundamental Requirements: 

• In-depth knowledge of VHDL RTL language, 

• Deep understanding of the digital design flow from architecture, RTL design, verification and synthesis, 

• Experience in development environments like Xilinx Vivado, Altera Quartus, etc…, 

• Experience in real-time application development, 

• Experience in programming languages; C/C++ and embedded C is a plus, 

• Experience in any scripting languages; TCL, Perl, Python is a plus, 

• Software and hardware design and development experience with FPGAs is a plus, 

• Knowledge in Digital Signal Processing algorithms is preferred, 

• Knowledge in microcontrollers and DSPs is a plus, 

• Knowledge in Xilinx’s SoC, MPSoC architectures is a plus 

Additional Requirements for Distinction: 

• Knowledge in Digital Communication Principles is preferred, 

• Experience with back-end flow including synthesis, place and route, and timing analysis is preferred, 

• Working knowledge of high level modeling tools like Matlab, Octave, Simulink or similar, 

• Experience in Design For Test (DFT) approach, 

• Experience in Test Bench preparation and Test Coverage maximization is preferred, 

• Knowledge in electronic components is a plus, 

• Knowledge in PADS, OrCad or Altium Designer is a plus, 

• Knowledge on avionic systems standards (DO-254, DO-178B/C, etc.) is a plus, 

• Experience in defense, avionic and space projects is a plus. 

• Experience in embedded operating systems is a plus, 

JOB DESCRIPTION 

CTech is a defence and aerospace electronics company which is a subsidiary of Turkish Aerospace Industries. 

As a Digital Design Engineer at Ctech, you will be part of a collaborative team developing in the entire hardware and software product design. You will play a meaningful role in supporting of the current and future CTech products. 

 The candidate is especially expected to: 

- Implement signal processing and communications algorithms on FPGA using VHDL 

- Demonstrate initiative in exploring advanced theories using Digital Signal Processing (DSP) techniques, communications theory, control theory, algorithm development and coding, as well as test and document the Research and Development (R&D), 

- Perform integration of systems and circuits, as well as verification and timing analysis of digital logic and circuitry, 

- Participate in internal R&D efforts and projects, 

 General contribution to: 

- Design, develop, test, integrate and document hardware and its related software modules that meet the well established quality objectives, engineering methodologies and guidelines set by CTech, 

- Participate in requirements analysis phase, and contribute to the High Level, as well as detailed product specification documents when required, 

- Recommend enhancements, improvements, and innovations to the existing technology and recommend the development of new solutions and technology prototypes,

- Conduct hardware and its related software testing in a timely and cost-effective manner, 

- Establish technical documentation by writing design and test documents, as well as drafting initial versions of product manuals for the corresponding parts and sections.
