PLANNING AND COST CONTROL CHIEF/SPECIALIST

Key Responsibilities 

• University degree from Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, 

• At least 5 years experience in a similar role with project costing, scheduling, estimating and cost control functions (Preferred experience in EPC Power Plant projects), 

• Experience in cost estimating methods (such as Quantity Surveying), MTO summaries, unit costing, 

• Extensive experience with Primavera Project Planner and other planning tools, 

• Must have proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook), 

• Must have Earned Value Management (EVM) experience, 

• Preferred experience in Primavera P6, Primavera Unifier, Tableau, 

• Effective English communication skills, 

• Ability to manage multiple tasks at once, 

• Self-motivated and solution provider, 

• No restriction to travel. 

 Job Description 

• Monitoring of the progress of the project(s), and provide support to the business plan, budget, scheduling, analysis and reporting, 

• Preparing the cost estimates, developing cost breakdown structures, assigning cost elements and allocating as necessary, 

• Effectively analyze cost reports, detect issues, and resolve variances through statement of assumptions, observation of trends, comparison to standards and recommendation of appropriate corrective actions, 

• Preparing, controlling and updating of the detailed overall Project Schedules in line with related procedures and standards, 

• Generate/Control/Analyze periodic time schedule reports, identify delays and critical paths, and recommend recovery scenarios and acceleration schedules, 

• Preparing /tracking and monitoring project progress measurement system, 

• Coordinate with Project Management and Subcontractors to obtain and validate progress and schedule data, to accurately maintain and update the schedule, 

• Responsible for allocation and tracking of Project Resources, 

• Responsible for Developing planning and cost related procedures and standarts.
