Position Overview

Reporting to the Processing Manager, this position will provide strategic and operational leadership to the metallurgical teams, optimizing the short and long-term performance of the processing plant to maximize copper and zinc production and recovery;

Responsibilities

• Ensures the efficient and sustainable operation of the all sections of the plant to meet or exceed production, costs and recovery targets.
• Ensures that proactive measures are taken related to production risks.
• Optimizes to ensure plant performance to maximize metal recoveries in a cost saving manner.
• Provides a compatible and efficient working environment with the technical team and to contribute to their developments.
• Coordinates and upgrades the efficiency and modernization studies of the plant.
• Provides coordination with mill operation, maintenance, mining and other departments.
• Ensures the preparation of all production reports of the plant.
• Prepares and follow up the operational and capital budget of the department.

Requirements

• University Degree in Mining Engineering or Mineral Processing Engineering  (a degree in English is preferred). (A Masters’ or Doctorate degree is preferred).
• Minimum 6 years of experience and in-depth knowledge at operating processing plants.
• Highly effective organizational and analytical skills with the ability to problem-solving and make decisions
• Proven leadership, interpersonal and teamwork skills. 
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
• Expert knowledge of MS Office programs.
  
• Willing to reside in Rize.
