QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Minimum ten years experience as an attorney at law.
  • Degree in law from a top tier academic institution and be admitted to practice law in Turkey.
  • Experience in a corporate legal department is a must.
  • Practice areas of law concerning M&A's, JV's and raising finance, lease contracts and trademarks.
  • Strong drafting, negotiating, writing skills both in Turkish and English.
  • Reliable, responsible and confident in handling legal issues.
  • Having analytical and problem solving mind.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, meet deadlines and multi-task.
  • Strong organization, planning, time management skills.
  • Hands-on; energetic, motivated and self-starter.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of English legal terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Turkish and English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Providing prompt, commercial, practical legal advise to assigned areas to stakeholders and management team.
  • Providing day-to-day inhouse legal counsel and legal support  to all operational and administrative departments within the company.
  • Providing supervision to outside lawyers hired to assist the corporation with their specialized legal services.
  • Reviewing draft and assisting in the negotiation of various contracts and agreements.
  • Preparing on time and take responsibility of fulfill corporate legal documentation (e.g. General Assembly documentation, Board of Directors meetings)
  • Ability to respond in a timely and effective manner to management and staff with legal analysis.
  • Risk management in terms of legal aspects.
