JOB DESCRIPTION

The person will be expected to perform and have a positive impact on a broad range of tasks, including but not limited to:

•  Build a comprehensive MicroStrategy environment that empowers users to self-serve to create meaningful and insightful reports with minimal technical input. 
• Work with the MicroStrategy Developers and Data Engineers to design a Data Warehouse that facilitates the creation of an optimal MicroStrategy Environment. 
• Work with key stakeholders across the business to create essential business performance monitoring reports.  
• Create training programs designed to empower non-technical users to produce analyses with minimal oversight
• Collaborate with the wider Technology team to ensure that the MicroStrategy Environment adheres to company security standards. 
• Bring a passion for Data and Analytics to the organization, with a view to improving overall company performance. 

REQUIREMENTS 

• Minimum 5 years experience working as a MicroStrategy Architect utilizing the Developer and Workstation tools to create Models, Hierarchies, attributes, and metrics, in addition to report creation. 
• Experience with MicroStrategy Tools like System Manager, Object Manager 
• Minimum 5 years experience writing PL/SQL, T-SQL, Amazon Redshift (or similar)
• MicroStrategy Certification would be a distinct advantage
• Demonstrable experience on fine tuning, VLDB properties  
• Demonstrable experience of developing actionable business insights through the creation of meaningful and relatable reports, dashboards and dossiers for key stakeholders.  
• Demonstrable experience in data exploration and data interrogation, relational database design, data warehousing, data modelling or similar
• Demonstrable experience of extracting complex requirements from stakeholders, including stakeholders who are not technical and/or data literate
• Developing and delivering MicroStrategy Training programs to empower users to self-serve 
• Ability to explain and present complex technical ideas to a non-technical audience
• Desire to have a strong input into all BI and analytics decisions 
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken 
• Awareness of data governance technologies
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a diverse team
