Job title: Customs Clearance Specialist

We require a Customs Clearance Specialist based in Izmir who is responsible within a team to coordinate and organise the full range of customs services, starting with order acceptance, registering it, and collecting all relevant documents until the release of goods and customs clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Ideally you will possess Advanced Level English, be able to understand the vast majority of English, spoken or written, that you encounter.
• Have a good understanding of timely and accurate delivery of all financial activities relevant to Customs Services.
• Experience in Import/Export.
• Computer literacy, including good command of Microsoft Office.
• This is a full-time position: remote and office based.
• Be able to understand and complete Import & Export declarations and Transit Movements.
• Ensure that work carried out complies with a standard defined by line managers.
• Escalate any customs compliance issues to management when required.
• To have an awareness of the Quality Assurance Procedures and ensure they are followed.
• Maintain a first-class business relationship with all customers and internal stakeholders.
• To support all growth initiatives and actively participate in creating innovative solutions.
• To be an active team member who will exchange knowledge and expertise.
• Participate in Customs related projects as required.
• To engender team spirit and staff engagement.

Working hours

Monday to Friday: available shifts 08:30 to 17:30 or 17:30 to 01:00

Duty executive approximately one weekend in four
