We are seeking for a high potential candidate to be evaluated in our Tax Department with the following qualifications; 

• 3+ years of experience ideally in leading organizations, Big4 or public sector, with a proven track record at the areas of customs, indirect tax, and/or foreign trade operations.
• BA in Economics, Law, Business Adm. or equivalent in a reputable university.
• Good knowledge of customs, foreign trade and indirect tax (VAT, Special Consumption Tax, KKDF etc) legislation.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
• Fluency in both written and spoken English.
• Strong written and presentation skills both in Turkish and English.
• Strong analytical, research, planning and organization skills.
• Excellent relationship management and communication skills.
• Willingness to frequent travel
• No military obligation for male candidates
• Related certifications or graduate degree is a plus.
• Accounting and SAP knowledge and experience is a plus.

Roles&Responsibilities

• Follow up changes in customs, trade and other indirect tax legislation and evaluate their impacts, and able to prepare the bulletins or circulars or arrange meetings for such remarkable changes to be shared with the clients
• Perform customs audits (either individually or as team leader of the customs audit teams), and support the clients to ensure their compliance with customs and indirect tax requirements.
• Manage and supervise the work of non-senior team members
• Assist and advise clients regarding customs, VAT, import & export matters both national and international.
• Participate and manage specific indirect tax, customs or trade related domestic or international projects.
• Make the required preparations for independent advices on customs, foreign trade and indirect tax issues.
• Handle a portfolio of client assignments, participating in client meetings, and developing our relationships with the clients.
• Perform internal or external customs and foreign trade trainings.
• Build own understanding of our purpose and values; explore opportunities for impact
• Understand objectives for clients and Deloitte, align own work to objectives and set personal priorities
• Develop knowledge of current tax legislation across the Global Tax and Legal function
• Understand expectations and demonstrate personal accountability for keeping performance on track
