QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Company Overview

Single-board computers such as Raspberry Pi, Google Coral, etc. are popular IoT development tools in many industries because of the accessibility and affordability. At Sixfab we create a connectivity platform for single-board computers that need cellular (LTE, 5G) connectivity. Providing reliable cellular connectivity for single-board computers needs deep expertise in hardware, certifications, regulations, supply chain, networks, protocols, incident management, SIM & carrier settings, remote network management etc. This complexity causes problems such as long time to market, high R&D costs, high failure rates. Our product includes connectivity hardware, all necessary embedded and cloud software and SIM card. With this one-stop solution, customers can build their cellular-connected, single-board computer-based IoT devices without any complex cellular experience/knowledge needed. We believe that single board computers will become much more common in the future. With the 5G technology expansion, we expect that many more cellular communication devices will be needed on the field


Position Overview

Sixfab is looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to help disseminate the most comprehensive Internet of Things (IoT) platform for cellular in the global market.

We are looking for engineers who are eager to help with how we identify, find and engage with new customers. Our customers span all industries, from energy companies to healthcare, automotive to real estate all around the world so it’s important for candidates to be naturally curious and have great communication skills. 


The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Understand customer’s pain in a technical consultative way

  • Effective negotiations, value-based sales presentations, consultative selling, business argumentation

  • Reaching customers forecasting, following up leads, developing customers, highlighting value proposals, and closing sales

  • Calculating client quotations

  • Offering after-sales support services

  • Analyzing costs and sales

  • Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs;

  • Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education;

  • Providing feedback on product features and priorities to marketing, the product management and core engineering team

  • Managing relations with support engineers, developers, operational personnel and technology team within prospect organizations

  • Excellent written and oral communications in English

Prerequisites:

  • Bachelor degree in electric/electronic, electronics and communication, mechatronics, computer or software engineering

  • Fluent English speaking on a daily basis

  • (Optional) Electronic circuit design, prototyping experience

  • (Optional) CAD design knowledge, preferably Autodesk Eagle or Altium Designer

  • (Optional) Programming in C, C++, Python or similar language experience
