Import Specialist (German)

• Import, Export, Logistics and Supply Chain operations knowledge, 

• Fluent in German both verbal and writing is a must, 

• Microsoft Office Programs knowledge (Outlook and Excel must, Power BI knowledge is a plus),

 • High customer focus and teamwork spirit, 

• Clear understanding of KPI (Key Performance Indicator) and basic knowledge of KPI preparation, 

• Clear understanding of root cause analysis also initiating and tracking action plans,

 • Problem solving and crisis management in critical daily issues.

DHL SUPPLY CHAIN is providing supply chain management and consulting like warehousing, distribution, managed transportation services and value added services in consumer, retail, life science & healthcare, technology, engineering & manufacturing and automotive sectors. DHL Supply Chain located in 2400 locations all over the world and manages approx. 23 million square meter storage area. 

LLP (Lead Logistics Provider) Department has been working as a partner with our customers to develop and improve their inbound and outbound logistics for their manufacturing plants and finished product market distribution. 

We are looking for a IMPORT SPECIALIST to join our team based in Istanbul.

• New destination and/or material creation on tracking system
• Tracking new orders from the Suppliers and uploading orders to tracking system. 
• Communicating with sellected Carriers for container availability and make bookings.
• Spot shipment arrangement, in case needed. 
• Updating tracking system with ETS, ETA details based on Carrier booking. 
•  Checking Shipping Instructions from Suppliers and other documents. (Invoice, PL etc.) 
• Tracking all in transit shipments and in case of ETA changes, asking for root cause from carriers and updating new ETA on tracking system. 
• Tracking actual arrivals with Carriers and updating on tracking system. 
•  Tracking Customs Clearance process with Destination Broker and updating tracking system milestones and in case of delays, asking root cause and updating on tracking system. 
• Sharing "Daily Status Reports". 
• Daily problem escalation and informing customer about delays. 
• Non-value added costs and demurrage control on daily basis and root cause analysing.
• Tracking invoices from LSPs and auditing them upon receipt. Also tracking invoice payment status to related LSPs. 
• Preparing KPIs and root cause analysis on monthly basis and taking respective actions.
