UI Designer

• At least 5 years of work experience with interactive media and web design. 

• Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite. 

• A good understanding of e-commerce and marketplace business model. 

• Strong sense of visual design, including typography, color theory and grid systems. 

• Strong knowledge of the methods of graphic art production, including their relative effectiveness and cost. 

• Strong knowledge of graphic design technology. 

• Basic knowledge of common concepts and best practices in UI design. 

• Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques and technologies. 

• Online portfolio with current work available to show. 

• BA/BS degree in Visual Design, Interaction Design, HCI, related field or equivalent practical experience. 

• Effective verbal, written communication and negotiation skills. 

• Strong time-management and self-organization skills. 

• Ability to handle tight deadlines. 

• Ability to offer and accept consistent critique of design work.

Job description

• Work closely with designers to ensure the experiences maintain high standards of graphic design and brand consistency. 

• Partner with related business stakeholders, advising on image creation and layout, to meet creative and business goals. 

• Mentor junior level team members. 

• Generate ideas and visual explorations for branded customer experience. 

• Undertake individual and team projects to develop engaging UI and graphic design techniques. 

• Direct and participates in the selection, design, and production of publications, displays, exhibits, signs, and other forms of graphic demonstration and presentation. 

• Determine the graphic needs of the business stakeholder and assist in completion of production. 

• Work with front-end developers to generate HTML pages. 

• Create, revise and apply n11.com's visual and UI guidelines. 

• Present design work to designers, design supervisor and business stakeholders for review and feedback. 

• Participate in team meetings, idea generation, and constructive-critique of output by the entire team.
