MUST

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technologies or related discipline

• Minimum 2 years of SQL Server administration experience

• Experience with other types of database systems is a plus (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL etc.)

• Experience with open source migrations

• Experience with Windows/SQL High Availability technologies (Always On, clustering, mirroring, log shipping)

• Demonstrated experience in architecting a large-scale production database platforms

• Experience with schema design and data normalization

• SQL query writing and optimization skills

• Monitoring and reporting on performance metrics

• Experience with merging large sets of data for imports and exports

• Ability to produce consistent results with minimal direction and supervision

• 24x7 production on-call support handling emergencies

• Strong troubleshooting, communication and documentation skills

• Good command of written and spoken English

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS

• Experience with public cloud data services (Azure, AWS, GCP, Oracle Cloud)

• NoSQL experience is a plus (MongoDB, Couchbase, Redis, etc.)

• Fluency with one of these: Python, Perl, Bash or other scripting language
