JOB DESCRIPTION

• Administration and maintenance of Windows/Linux based servers and services
  
• Administration and maintenance of virtual server infrastructure
  
• Administration and maintenance of backup architecture
  
• Monitors event logs, systems resource utilization, perform server/application audits and health checks and takes action accordingly
  
• Tunes the operating system and applications to ensure optimum performance
  
• Hardens the operating systems and services to meet the security standards
  
• Determines services and standards, executing periodical maintenance of the servers and services
  
• Design, implement and test strategies for backup and recovery, security and disaster recovery of server environment
  
• Designs and implements load-balanced, fail-over architecture for systems
  
• Prepares reports, documentations, policies and procedures
  
• Researches, proposes and implements new solutions, features, and improvements
  

QUALIFICATIONS

• Advanced level knowledge and experience on Microsoft Windows Server Systems and services
  
• Knowledge and experience on Linux systems and services
  
• Advanced level knowledge and experience on Virtual server environments
  
• Knowledge and experience on server hardware
  
• Knowledge and experience of storage and backup technologies
  
• Proficiency in Windows/Linux scripting is also desired
  
• Knowledge and experience on TCP/IP Networking
  
• Experience and knowledge of Cloud Architecture is preferred
  
• Familiar with the DevOps technologies and tools (Source Control, CI/CD, Infrastructure Automation, Deployment Automation & Orchestration, Container Concepts)
  
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position
  
• Relevant educational background such as engineering degree from a leading university
  
• Willing to take ownership of area and follow assigned tasks through to successful completion
  
• Must have relevant certifications (MCSA, MCSE, RHCE, ITIL)
  
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  
• Good command of English
