QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

DowAksa, an international indirect joint venture between the Dow Chemical Company and Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayii A.Ş., established in 2012, is providing and selling high quality carbon fiber and carbon fiber reinforced advanced composite solutions by applying science, world class manufacturing capabilities and technical knowledge, to the industrial clients.

DowAksa is selling to diversified industrial market areas.

End users are;

• Wind Energy
• Pressurised Vessels
• Infrastructure
• Automotive

QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable university in related fields like Business Administration, Economics, Logistic, International Trade, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering,
• Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience in corporate companies, preferably on raw material/direct purchasing positions,
• Having contract experience in Turkish and English,
• Good knowledge in MS Office,
• Proficiency in written and spoken English,
• Result-oriented and ability to work with strict deadlines,
• Having no travel disability and a Class B driver's license,
• Residing or to be residing in Yalova, İzmit or İstanbul Anatolian Side.

• Managing purchasing cycle to ensure the company direct material purchasing needs are fulfilled on time with optimum cost and good quality in accordance with the company policy and procedures,
• Managing supplier contracts to protect the company’s business interests, negotiating contractual terms and condition in favor of the company,
• Identifying alternative and potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers, and building sustainable relationships with them,
• Liaising between suppliers, manufacturers, and relevant internal departments for developing new business relations,
• Conducting researches and projects to ascertain the equivalent products and alternative suppliers in terms of best cost, delivery and quality,
• Following levels of price trends and industry dynamics, adding value to company’s expenditures through proactive cost management,
• Following industrial market reports regularly on strategic raw materials and reporting to the management,
• Following up on the regulations on strategic items for ensuring compliance with the company’s and countries’ s policies and standards.
