DowAksa, an international indirect joint venture between the Dow Chemical Company and Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayii A.Ş., established in 2012, is providing and selling high quality carbon fiber and carbon fiber reinforced advanced composite solutions by applying science, world class manufacturing capabilities and technical knowledge, to the industrial clients.  
DowAksa is selling to diversified industrial market areas.

End users are;
Wind Energy
Pressurised Vessels 
Infrastructure 
Automotive 

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry or a closely related field
• Preferably MSc in Organic Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry or Material Science or closely related fields
• Preferably two years work experience in polymeric materials (thermoset resins) or composite industries  
• Preferably knowledge on carbon fiber reinforced composites, composite testing
• Possess hands-on analytical equipment capabilities (SEM, TGA, DSC, Rheometer, DMA) along with wet chemistry experience
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Good knowledge in MS Office and Data Analysis Tools
• Residing or to be residing in Yalova or Karamürsel
• Having no obstacle for travelling inland or abroad.

JOB DESCRIPTION 

DowAksa is offering the role ofChemist; 

• Primarily responsible from developing thermoset resin formulations for next generation composite matrix technologies with understanding of materials toughening
• Understanding of materials science, chemistry of thermoset resins, mechanical property and structure-property relationships
• Supporting product development projects as team member, working with multiple functions to improve process and product quality
• Working in raw material evaluation if necessary under R&D works (such as chemicals used in carbon fiber and composite manufacturing), material characterization, test method development, interpretation of results and reporting of findings under the supervision of Product Design & Development Team Leader to support company goals
• Providing and maintaining detailed documentation and procedures for all work performed in electronic format
• Providing support to customers by assisting our technical sales organization
• To maintain safe work environment in responsible processes by following EH&S regulations, rules and policies of projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
