Role Summary
We are looking for a talented Digital Producer to join our production team, reporting to the Head of Production. The ideal candidate will have excellent experience of working on digital projects on different platforms and will be able to juggle multiple deliverables on tight deadlines and able to get the job done to the highest standard.
As a Digital Producer you will be collaborative, hands-on and extremely organised as you will manage multiple projects. With an interest of storytelling and innovation, you will be a fast learner and a natural problem solver.
Role responsibilities
- Create, produce, source and deliver video content
- Editing clips in Adobe Premier & CC software
- Identifying, verifying and sourcing relevant video clips, including handling copyright permissions for UGC content
- Fast-turnaround editing of clips, third party footage in response to the daily news agenda
- Publishing clips to CMS and video hosting platforms, with appropriate use of metadata
- Attend daily morning conference and relevant production days
- Generating and pitching ideas for explainers and original video content, considering analytics data
- Help develop story and content ideas to suit digital platforms
- Monitoring and responding to video and website analytics to ensure optimised placement of content
- Comfortable working with an array of contributors
- Work with various team members to amplify their projects
- Have a keen eye for visual storytelling
- Ensure your work is accurate, timely and impartial
- Monitor social media analytics and provide regular reports to senior management
- Ensure all content is signed off by Head of Production or senior member of the editorial team before publication.
Requirements:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the audiences
- Proven experience in filming and editing video content for online platforms
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and a good understanding of Adobe After Effects is also desirable
- Proven experience of filming on a range of cameras
- Able to work on longer-form news and features which are unique and different from the competition
- Ability to manage website content
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience
- Video/media production experience.
- Video/media post-production experience.
- NCTJ or equivalent qualification or relevant experience with a major online publication
- Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, especially Premiere and After Effects, as measured by demo reel and/or examples of work.
- Working knowledge of video production equipment and process.
- Working knowledge of post-production process, workflow, and software.
- Working knowledge of project management software.
- Able to ensure consistency, accuracy and compliance with required broadcast and online standard
