QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Founded by industry veterans with decades of experience in automotive software and controls, Eatron Technologies is a company focusing on electrification and autonomous driving technologies, serving the global mobility market. We are a growing international team developing cutting-edge solutions and intelligent software for battery management and autonomous driving with the HQ based in Warwick, UK, and an R&D office in Istanbul, Turkey.

As a motion planner engineer, you will take a major role contributing to the planning layer of the Eatron L2Star ADAS software, implementing path tracking and planning algorithms using state of the art methods and tools, verifying algorithms in simulation and test vehicles while working closely with perception, fusion and control engineers. 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, Develop, Test, Debug, and Deploy motion planning software module in Autonomous Driving systems for multiple AD functions
  • Stay up to date on the state-of-the-art techniques in the context of motion planning for autonomous driving
  • Develop high-quality code that leads to a high-performance, easily understandable, and maintainable software

Required Skills and Attributes:

  • Minimum Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Controls, the similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience (Ph.D. preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in software development in robotics
  • Proven experience backed up by real-world deployment or academic papers in motion planning and control (e.g., trajectory optimization, planning under uncertainty, optimal control, etc.)
  • Proven experience programming in C++ with OOP principles
  • Good software development skills, ability to write high-performance, clean and maintainable code
  • Solid grasp of fundamental physics - kinematic and dynamic models of rigid bodies.

Would be Advantageous:

  • Experience solving software problems using geometry and linear algebra
  • Previous experience in the autonomous vehicle space / mobile ground robotics
  • Experience with open-source solvers and/or optimization libraries (Ceres, OSQP solver ...)
