Summary:

The SMT Engineer will be fully responsible for SMT line - SMT machines, AIO(Automatic Optical Inspection) device, SPI  (Solder Paste Inspection), Selective Soldering Machine and NG/OK Unloader Machine - & production and work independently. His/her job will include doing whatever it takes to meet production deadlines. This job requires thinking on the go in a fast paced environment. As such the successful candidate must have background and experience in SMT and Through-hole manufacturing processes, programming and support of automated placement systems, and solder reflow processes as well as an understanding in electronic product introduction and development.

Responsibilities:

• Lead improvements in process yield, quality, cycle time, inventory accuracy and delivery.
• Lead a team of SMT Machine Operator and Process Technician.
• Develop and implement advanced processes and EMS methodologies.
• Perform defect and failure analyses for Surface Mount Technology (SMT).
• Able to program SMT machines, AIO(Automatic Optical Inspection) device, SPI  (Solder Paste Inspection), Selective Soldering Machine and NG/OK Unloader Machine.
• Solve problems quickly and efficiently.

Requirements:

• B.S. in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering
• 4+ years of SMT industry hands-on experience.
• Strong understanding and in depth knowledge of manufacturing processes (including SMT and related techniques) and equipment.
• Able to read schematics, diagnose problems quickly and develop solutions on the go.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English. Able to communicate with foreign service personnel of purchased devices.
• Proficient in related software applications.
