Founded by the late Mr. Şarık Tara and his brother in-law, the late Mr. Sadi Gülçelik in 1957, ENKA İnşaat ve Sanayi A.Ş. (ENKA) is a global engineering and construction firm headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey. ENKA provides services through its subsidiaries in the following areas: • Engineering & Construction (incl. Mr. Sinan Tara, acting as the Chairman of the Board is the son of Şarık Tara, whereas Mr. Mehmet Tara, acting as the President and Chairman of the Executive Committee, is the third generation of the Tara family to lead the company. ENKA is traded publicly in Borsa Istanbul (BIST) with a Market Cap of circa USD 6.1 Billion. Records show that, thus far, ENKA has undertaken 131 projects in Turkey amounting to a contract value of USD 7.1 Billion, and another 419 projects with a contract value of USD 44.5 Billion have been awarded to ENKA in foreign countries. Operational Activities & Services ENKA provides full range of design and engineering, procurement, in-house welded fabrication, modularization, construction, commissioning and start-up, operation and maintenance, and project management services in the following sectors: • Oil and Gas, Petrochemicals • Power Plants • Infrastructure • Building Works ENKA, through its fully owned subsidiary Çimtaş, provides the following services for Power, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Offshore, Mining & Metals Industries: • Engineering (structural, pressure vessels, piping, plant engineering) • Manufacturing (LSAW pipes, fittings, flanges & branch connections) and Fabrication in 6 in Turkey and 1 in China, over 340,000 tons/year total capacity (pressure vessels; power, process & OEM piping; heat exchangers & steam drums; reactors; storage tanks; steel wind towers; structural steel) • Machining (combustion components, aviation parts, special forged fittings, flanges) • Modularization (Module and Shipyard, 270,000 m2, 60,000 DWT) • Installation - Structural & Mechanical (domestic and overseas jobsites) ENKA, through its fully owned subsidiary Kasktaş, (which is one of the first geotechnical engineering contractors established in Turkey) performs works in the field of foundation engineering including deep foundation, deep excavations, slope stability, soil improvement, marine works and special applications. ENKA, through its fully owned subsidiary ENKA Power, has the capacity to generate 32 billion kilowatt-hours electricity annually with its self-built, owned and operated gas fired combined cycle power plants which have a total installed capacity of more than 4000 MW in Turkey. ENKA is the developer, owner & operator of approximately 1.35 million sqm of real estate in Moscow of Russian Federation, including A-class offices occupied by dozens of international tenants, shopping malls, a 5 star luxury hotel, a conference complex.
