Manager, Smart Grid Solutions

JOB SUMMARY

As a Manager, you will be performing various routine tasks under the supervision of the Executive Board and will ensure your team complete all their assignments efficiently.

Smart Grid Solutions consists of 4 main subsections:

• Research and Development Projects for Distribution Companies
• Point on Wave Switching w/ Vizimax Inc.
• Power Quality Applications
• Offshore Engineering
• Supply Chain Management for US Market

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Design strategy and set goals for the Smart Grid Solutions Department
2. Set policies and processes for field operations – evaluate and improve field operations
3. Carry out recruitment and build a team that will help department achieve its goals
4. Oversee day-to-day operations within the Smart Grid Solutions Department
5. Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally, direct the employee assessment process
6. Follow-up customer accounts, managing payment collection
7. Engage in business development activities – actively seeking offshore engineering opportunities
8. Prepare regular reports for the executive board

REQUIREMENTS

1. 10+ years of experience in relevant professional setting, preference for power systems

2. BSc. in Electrical Engineering

3. Experience in a managerial role (a MSc/MA in Business or related field is a plus)

4. Experience in electricity distribution and transmission networks

5. Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)

6. Experience in strategic planning and budgeting

7. Outstanding organizational and leadership skills

8. Ability to work well under pressure or in stressful and demanding situations or environments
