Software Product Manager

Our client is a fast growing successful 30 years old software house. The company focus on GIS based solutions. Now we are looking for aSoftware Product Manager who will directly report to General Manager.

Role Summary:

Your role will be managing commercialization process of a company built in successful frame work application.  This is one of best in class framework for mid-size software houses and non-IT organizations.  You will operate in product management to create a clear strategic direction for build needs and convey that vision to the development team. You will guide the team with a clear and descriptive set of requirements captured as stories and partner with the team to determine what can be delivered through balancing the need for new features, defects, and technical debt.

The person will be responsible for marketing and sales activities of the product by effective customer visits.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver features and major, complex products

• Own the short-term roadmap for clients and new releases

• Prioritize continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of customer problems and needs

• Demonstrate expert level skill in problem decomposition and ability to navigate through ambiguity

• Engage frequently with the development team and existing sales team of the company for other products to facilitate discussions, provide clarification, story acceptance and refinement, testing and validation; contributes to design activities and decisions

• Positioning of the product by effective value proposition and segmentation of clients

• Define go to market strategy for each segment.

• Own and manage the potential clients. Submits effective presentations to potential clients.

• Routinely collaborate with UX, Architecture and engineering teams on multiple issues and decisions

• Conduct customer and stakeholder interviews and elaborate on personas

• Demonstrate superior persuasion and influencing skills that ensure alignment between customer, and SW development team

Desired Competencies

Technical Expertise:

• Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Software Design Patterns and .Net coding principles

• Experience working with Microsoft SW development technologies

• Familiarity with popular SW development technologies to deal with CTO and SW Development manager level discussions.

Commercial Expertise

• Has outstanding marketing, sales and product management knowledge and experience

• Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems

• Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts

• Has the ability to analyze impact of technology choices

• Demonstrates knowledge on technical topics, such as caching, APIs, performance, data transfer, scalability, and security

• Skilled in negotiation to align stakeholders and communicate a single synthesized perspective to the software development team. Balances value propositions for competing stakeholders

• Demonstrates knowledge of the competitive environment

• Demonstrates knowledge of technologies in the market to help make buy vs build recommendations, scope MVPs, and to drive market timing decisions
