Data Engineer

Eureko Sigorta is an international insurance company with a leading position in its field thanks to its expertise at damage management and risk assessment. It operates as a member of Achmea, one of world’s largest insurance partnerships with 22.000 employees in 6 countries of Europe.

We are currently looking for a Data Engineer to join our Data Studio Team.

Responsibilites:

·       Translate business requirements into data models that are easy to understand and used by different disciplines across the company

·       Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable streaming and batch data pipelines for insight generation, analysis, data collection and management.

·       Maintain and enhance our data platforms.

·       Coordinate the monitoring of day end operations; solve the issues / problems.

·       Work closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, data scientists and engineering teams to understand business and technical requirements, plan and execute projects, and communicate status, risks and issues.

·       Ensure security, privacy and compliance for all data assets.

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's degree in Information System, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, a related field

·       Understanding of data management fundamentals, data storage principles and distributed systems

·       Minimum 2 + years of experience in the design and development of Enterprise Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence systems

·       Data Warehousing Experience with Oracle, SAP etc.

·       Should be experienced in SQL and RDBMS (preferably Oracle)

·       Experience with at least some of NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra is required.

·       Demonstrable skills and experience writing complex, highly optimized SQL queries across large data sets

·       Desired experience with ETL tools such as Data Services and SSIS a plus

·       Experience and familiarity with Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack having Power BI, SSAS

·       Experience with BI tools, SAP Business Objects and Power BI is a plus

·       Developing tabular model, visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI

·       Excellent English verbal and written communication skills

·       Experience in Agile development techniques like Scrum and Kanban.

·       Ability to communicate well with users, partner teams and senior management to collect requirements, explain data collection decisions and create data engineering strategy

·       Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM)

·       Preferably industry experience as a Data Engineer
