Production Engineer (Chemical/Industrial Engineer)

We’re looking for a “ Production Engineer” who will report to our Liquid & Cosmetics Operations Manager. The candidate must have at least bachelor degree in Chemical or Industrial Engineering

Job Description

• Designing and organize the work force to meet the production demand (daily, weekly basis) and continuously check for plan compliance
• Leading production level meetings and plan for actions in line with lean management principles
• Leading daily, weekly and monthly operational measure loss analysis (OEE, scrap, stop etc.)
• Directing and continuous communication with direct reports and other people/departments
• Resolving and analyze manufacturing issues resulting from human error, equipment failure, product/component quality, and schedule changes.
• Developing, implementing and managing operational strategies, goals and objectives consistent with corporate objectives and continuous improvement
• Working closely with the Health and Safety Committee, quality and GMP staff ensuring that all processes and work areas are compliant throughout the Production areas.
• Leading and coordinate flexibility program to ensure set-ups and changeovers are timely completed
• Monitoring and achieve departmental targets such as OEE, Stops, HSE, Quality, Material Variance, Change Over Times and 5S.
• Increasing productivity, labor variance and quality through Process Improvement based on current acceptable standards.
• Working with all others to support and deliver new product initiatives to meet launch dates.
• Orientation and training of new employees, development and monitoring of individual employee goals.
• Completing performance reviews.
• Coordinating cycle count process, including review of variance reports, development of corrective action plans.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in, Industrial , Chemical Engineering
• 2-5 years of experience as production engineer
• Previous supervisory experience required
• Fluency in English
• Strong equipment and process knowledge
• Experience leading and growing a team is an asset
• Excellent organizational, problem solving and communication skills
• Lean Management knowledge and experience is plus
• Good level of MS-Office applications
• Experience using SAP an asset
• Strong analytical abilities
