Site Construction Manager

We’re seeking a Site Construction Manager for our projects located in Turkey.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.       Coordinate with project construction personnel and owner to resolve all project issues and administer and provide a response to all requests and evaluate compliance with all plans and specifications for the construction project.

2.       To ensure compliance with all construction execution contract schedules and prepare all documents for construction management and provide support to all services and prepare final documents at construction completion.

3.       Coordinate with subcontractors and evaluate all proposals and administer all disciplines and supervise the efficient working of all project staff and ensure compliance with all design specifications.

4.       Design and implement strategies of sub-contractors and design all project schedules and requirements and develop estimates for all change orders and perform regular tests on all construction activities.

5.       Administer efficient working of all site staff and participate in all meetings with sub-contracts and evaluate progress on a regular basis,

6.       Hired and led a staff of discipline engineers and assisted in onboarding new & replacement Sub-contractors,

7.       Assist the construction team to perform all tests on pre-commissioning and commissioning activities and participate in all project schedules,

8.       Provide evidence of the experience, training and proficiency of employees prior to starting work on worksite and organize the required trainings for the works,

9.       Selecting tools and materials,

10.   Making safety inspections and ensuring construction and site safety,

11.   Checking and preparing site reports,

12.   Maintaining quality control procedures,

13.   Finding ways to prevent problems and to solve any that crop up,

14.   Assessing and minimizing risk,

15.   Writing reports and keeping on top of paperwork,

16.   Reviewed risk assessment plans and ensured all safety regulations were met,

17.   Developed an accident investigation program to prevent recurrence of incidents and ensure rapid response to incidents across locations,

18.   Conducted and coordinated on-site reviews and audits of operations for all locations,

19.   Collaborated with location safety inspectors and operations regarding workers compensation issues, prompt settlement of claims, and direct implementation of strategies to resolve health and safety issues,

20.   Created and maintained a culture reflective of a commitment to an injury-free workplace,

REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of a recognized university with a bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering discipline
• 10 years minimum experience in the EPC project Construction management onshore activities in the oil and gas industry,
• The large-scale projects are completed on time and that teams achieve project milestones and deliverables,
• Strong problem-solving skills to resolve issues that may arise during the construction process, such as scheduling conflicts or materials issues,
• The excellent attention to detail and organization skills to effectively manage schedules,
• Decision-making ability,
• Ability to motivate others,
• Teamworking skills,
• Good knowledge of fabrication and installation methods and regulations,
• Good English both written and oral, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others.
