QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Definition of the Job:

  • Manages, coordinates and operates the procurement process from the top on down,
  • Evaluates and selects the suppliers regarding the optimum service quality and price, defines corporate procedures related to supplier selection,
  • Analyses and identifies the potential risks and opportunities continuously, tries to measure and transform them into metric data,
  • Makes procurement plan and follows up the delivery schedule thereof; immediately shares the plan and the revisions/flaws with the related persons,
  • Ensures that the follow-up orders and deadlines can easily be monitored through ERP system,
  • Deals with custom transactions, shipping and insurance processes,
  • Prepares realistic budget forecasts and compares it with the real costs, reports transparently,
  • Keeps up with the price trends and economic balances, and makes long- or short-term contracts accordingly; revises the contracts if needed, always has a back-up plan,
  • Works closely to Sales, Finance and Project and other internal stakeholders,
  • Prepares periodic and ad-hoc reports,
  • Leads procurement team for continuous performance and competency development,
  • Takes the responsibility of the Procurement Department during internal and external audits

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from reputable universities, degree of Electrical or Electrical and Electronic Engineering is an asset,
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience on Procurement, experience in similar position is a significant plus,
  • Experience on at least one ERP system is a must,
  • Progressive and proactive perspective on procurement,
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is a must,
  • Excellent command on MS Office programs, especially Excel,
  • Cost consciousness and strategic thinking ability,
  • Strong interpersonal relations,
  • Problem solver, flexible and result oriented,
  • Multinational company experience is an asset,
  • No military obligation for male candidates,
  • Residing in Anatolian side of İstanbul or Gebze/Çayırova districts of Kocaeli
