Director of Talent & Culture

Director, Talent & Culture will manage all Talent & Culture related activities and services, including employee relations, colleague events, health & safety, workers compensation, compliance with policies/procedures/laws, compensation, training and recruitment.  Director of Talent & Culture will also play a critical role in creating a culture committed to “turning moments into memories”.

Main Duties :

• Recruitment, employment, compensation, health and safety and the well-being of staff
• Develop, carry-out and evaluate all training activities
• Track and manage staff development opportunities
• Monthly payroll input and management
• Development and management of HR budgets
• Implementing and manage Company HR policies and procedures
• Participate in our Duty Management Team
• Supervise and administer the smooth and efficient operations of the various Talent & Culture functions by ensuring all processes are in place, constantly reviewing the processes, and making all necessary amendments to be in line with the changing requirements of the hotel.
• Plan, participate and oversee the recruitment process by taking charge of personnel requisitions, replacements, promotions, transfers, deployment, redesignations and resignations with reference to the payroll and headcount budget.
• Plan and ensure timely use of different recruitment methods such as media advertisement, through hospitality institutions, employment agencies, executive search and internal notices to meet the manpower needs of the hotel.
• Promote good industrial relations with the hotel unions through Union-Management meetings and prompt resolutions of all staff issues.
• Ensure exit interviews are conducted and use feedback from the interviews to recommend employee retention.
• Ensure planned employee sports and recreational activities throughout the year and ensure maximum employee participation and success of all such activities.
• Ensure successful employee events such as Annual Dinner & Dance, Long Service Awards, Retirees’ Farewell, Management Communication Forums and General Staff Meetings.
• Ensure proper and updated records of employee lockers are kept and the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility meet the Hotel standards.
• Oversee regular locker checks and take any necessary action when required.
• Ensure foreign staff are provided with safe and appropriate accommodation.
• Ensure all supplies necessary for the smooth operation of the department is available through regular purchases.
• Ensure communication of human resource related matter by updating the human resource notice boards regularly.
• Facilitate staff transportation by working with Security and the Service Provider to ensure safety of the staff.
• Maximize the use of the human resource system, providing all necessary reports as required.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual human resource budget and closely monitoring expenses are in line with budget.
• Monitor staff absenteeism and make recommendations for reducing absenteeism.
• Comply with hotel and departmental policies and procedures at all times.
• Carry out any other duties as and when assigned by the Management of the Hotel.
• Assist to oversee the Training Officers in their execution of their duties.
