Sustainability Specialist

For our location based in Istanbul, we are looking for a team member with the following qualifications to work as the fixed term (1 year) “Sustainability Social Expert” in the “Hazelnut Sustainability - Traceability” department of our 100% Italian-invested food company. 

•    Graduated from a related program of a University, preferably sociology, and communications,
•    Minimum 3-year experience,
•    Experienced in planning, coordination, organization, and reporting, 
•    Open to learning, produces new ideas for improving both him/herself and the company, 
•    Has an analytical perspective 
•    Knowledge in the occupational safety and related laws, 
•    Ability to use MS Office programs, 
•    Advanced communication and coaching skills, 
•    Adaptable to teamwork, 
•    No travel obstacles, 
•    Ability to use of vehicle actively 
•    Good command of English, 
•    Communication and collaboration experience with non-profit organizations,
•    Prior experience in similar positions preferably in international companies.     

        JOB DESCRIPTION

•  Coordinating the Social Experts Team who give field training in regions to hazelnut farmers within the           framework of Environmental and Social Sustainability.  
•  Experienced in social applications. 
•  Coordinating field activities for women farmers, children, youth, muhktar, and farm foremen. 
•  Paying periodical visits to the regions. 
•   Informing the field team of the new opportunities, prospects, and arrangements concerning sustainability. 
•  During the projects, establishing and maintaining stable cooperation with the affiliated non-profit     organizations by communicating with them in the field.
•  Managing all communications with the internal and external shareholders according to the plans   predetermined within the scope of the sustainability strategy. 
•  Gathering social responsibility demands, assessing and executing them in coordination with the   headquarters  according to the company strategy and procedures. 
•  Providing planning, application and monitoring support for the sustainability projects.
•  Leading the management and communication of information to the sustainability team within the framework   of labor and other relevant laws. 
•  To support creating in-company definitions of, and the strategy for the social, economic and environmental  sustainability and to help to manage the internal and external communications.
