We are currently looking for a Design Feasibility Engineer. The position will be based on Sancaktepe / İstanbul and candidates should have the following qualifications:

The responsibilies of the required position are;

• Leading the Design Feasibility Process from FC0 to FC5, including Design Development Checklists, Hardpoints Plan, completion of FC deliverables

• Lead pre-FC3 design feasibility engineering activity by providing conceptual support and feasibility integration of upper body functional requirements in support of the design and design feasibility development

• Provide feasibility support for class 1/A surface during Design maturation and production surface development / verification processes (FC4 to FAA)

• Develop and maintain CAD Based Zone Layouts for Studio Design Feasibility (e.g. scaffold files) with integration of functional feasibility and Design requirements in support of the design and design feasibility progression

• Lead Design feasibility meetings for each vehicle zone in support of the Design progression

• Ensure the incorporation of appropriate technical, attribute, and program requirements into class 1/A surface (or other Design medium / property) per Design Development requirements

• Provide functional guidance and appropriate feasibility studies of Studio & program alternatives in advance of functional and/or supplier support

• Technically articulate Design requirements into engineering parameters and create Design parameters from engineering requirements

• Provide engineering alternatives that enable Design Leadership through the integration and balancing of attribute tradeoffs

• Develop Design feasibility surface proposals throughout Theme and surface development

• Maintain status of Design properties for management reviews and ensure conformance to hardpoints and feasibility constraints (e.g. hardpoints plan, ride heights, manikin drops)

• Track program content, timing and overall status and acts as information channel between program teams and studio teams

• Coordination with concept design, 3D design development and modelling teams during design development phase for flawless execution of design deliverables

Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in engineering

• Fluent in English, both speaking and writing

• Have no obstacle to travel

• Result oriented, practical, proactive

• Able to manage multitasking and think multidimensional

• Good knowledge of GPDS

• Experience using CAD tools, including Vis Mockup, Team Center and Catia

• Knowledge of problem solving methods (5D/8D)

• Past communication and project experience in a UP5/6 level program with design feasibility teams preferred

• Experience with design and feasibility of Exterior of vehicle (Sheet metal, Doors, Hood, Fenders, Quarter Panels, Glass, Bumper Cover Fascia, Grille, Head Lamps, Tail Lamps, Deck lid / Lift gate, Roof) or Interior of vehicle (Instrumental Panel, Console, Door Trim, Headliner, Hard Trim, Seats) preferred

• Knowledge of vehicle attributes and design correlation, mainly in vehicle layout/package, occupant positioning, proportional analysis, visibility, ergonomics, NVH, aerodynamics as well as awareness on tooling preferred

• Familiarity with legislative requirements affecting the Design Feasibility process preferred

• Catia V5 skills preferred to examine existing vehicle geometry and to create new, innovative solutions to improve visible components and systems of vehicles, such that they meet the desires of the Styling Studio
