Technical Safety Manager

We are seeking a Technical Safety Manager who will work at the Freebird Airlines Antalya Office.

 Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Fluency in written and oral English,
• Good computer skills,
• Good management and leadership skills and experience,
•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
• Ability to research problems, develop alternatives to issue resolutions, and perform as a member of multiple internal and external teams.

Additional and preferable qualifications

• Experience in the aeronautical industry in an appropriate position,
• Experience in Airworthiness or Maintenance Operation,
• Formal training or certification on Safety Management Systems such as risk management, engineering/maintenance safety, accident investigation, etc.
• Formal training or certification on AirOPS, PART-FCL, Part M, Part 145, Part 66, Human Factors.
• Detailed knowledge of regulations and officially recognized standards,
• Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) training and experience.

Technical Safety Manager is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and monitoring the effectiveness and continuous improvement of safety within continuing airworthiness and maintenance activities. 

• Technical Safety Manager reports to the DirectorTechnical Department within the Technical Department and functionally to the Safety (SMS) Manager within the SMS. 
• Manages occurrence reports using dedicated systems,
• Publishes valid occurrence information, safety notices and safety bulletins,
• Ensures the Flight Data Monitoring System is technically maintained within airworthiness and analysis ratio objectives. FDM outputs are analysed to identify airworthiness hazards as part of the preventive maintenance program,
• Provides feedback to the technical crew,
• Manages and discusses technical and operational safety issues within Safety Action Group,
• Ensures that the SMS is implemented correctly and maintained within Technical Division, in concert with the Safety Manager,
• Advises Technical Director, Engineering and Maintenance Managers on risks and required corrective actions,
• Monitors and measures technical safety,
• Judges the effectiveness of corrective or mitigating actions,
• Assists and advises managers on determining the safety objectives and SPIs of the Technical Division.
