Job Profile

We are looking for a Contracts Manager for our Head Office in Ankara. The position will be located in Ankara.

Job Description

• Carefully analyzes the contracts to build and drive implementation of contract/claim management strategy plan, as well as keep it updated and communicated with the project team on a periodic basis,
• Monitors works towards contractual obligations, including support to the monitoring of project schedule towards achieving contractual milestones,
• Ensures timely issuance of contractual notices and all other relevant correspondences,
• Establishes and implements project specific commercial procedures, particularly regarding correspondences, notifications, variation/change requests/orders and claims preparation files,
• Develops a rational & commercial approach based on a contractual analysis of the projects, to protect, on a daily basis, GAMA’s interests,
• Carefully monitors, records, and notifies employer/partners/subcontracts and any third party regarding claims/counterclaims and prepares and manages all elements and supporting documentation for claims/counterclaims negotiations,
• Monitors employer/partner/subcontractor requests for claims / variations / change orders / extensions of time,
• Provides proactive advice on specific issues, risks, contractual/claims activities, taking into account the contract and business objectives,

• Provides training on contract management to key project stakeholders,
• Operates sensitively in multicultural environments and builds effective working relations with clients and colleagues. 

 Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Engineering, preferably Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (MBA is a plus) or in Law or Business Administration
• Minimum 5 years of experience in execution of contracts, preferably EPC contracts, and ability to negotiate commercial and contractual issues during evaluation, award and execution of employer, supplier and subcontractor contracts
• Ability to work well within a team and within an international working environment, having an international sense of business
• Ability to meet deadlines while working on a number of projects concurrently
• Analytical skills and basic schedule knowledge
• Ability to work in a proactive approach
• Excellent command of verbal and written English
• No restrictions to travel within Turkey and abroad
