As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join us.Working full-time from our R&D Center in Free Trade Zone Izmir, you will join our team of experts working with cutting-edge technologies on OEM and Replacement products for highly viable and strategic projects.

§  Your fit in the organization will be to lead cross functional teams from a technical perspective in order to generate a commercially viable solution

§  This position is vital to Gates as you will plan, implement, and manage projects that support strategic business plan and company growth

§  Your objective will be to ensure product technical and durability performance over time

Key responsibilities (on top of the above):

§  Managing product design, validation sign off, product KPIs and product technical risk assessment in commercialization programs

§  Performing static and dynamic engineering analyses to optimize system configuration in terms of belt construction, tensioner design and other components design like pulleys and idler (if appropriate) from performance, cost and manufacturing perspectives, in close cooperation with the system analysis team and the dedicated product suppliers. 

§  In collaboration with development engineers, defining all testing required to ensure function, durability, and customer satisfaction. In cases of changes, updating design of the system and/or the parts and documenting all detailed information concerning changes.

§  Executing product benchmarking and patent evaluation

ABOUT YOU

§  Engineering degree with 5 years professional experience, ideally as Design & Development Engineer

§  Experience using, implementing and administrating CAD systems.

§  Strong planning and organization skills to lead and manage technical projects and design work against deadlines

§  Excellent communication skills to be able to work effectively with customers and clearly explain complex technical issues

§  Strong common sense allowing to understand customer requirements and to effectively transfer them into designs needs

§  Creative thinker who will find new solutions and alternatives to design problems

§  Fluent in English.
