What we are doing includes big data (even huge data), ML, AI, clouds, containers, queues, NLP, HPC and so many moving parts. There’s always a better, easier, cheaper way of doing things. We need someone with eyes set on the horizon, looking for the next thing; research, test, learn, implement, monitor and improve it.
- Understand what a new team is. We are building the very core team that’ll be working on many products for years to come and it comes with all the pains of a new team. On the plus side, we know it and are committed to getting better each and every day.
- Don’t need to be managed. Of course, we care about results and timelines but we all take ownership of our products and don’t need to be reminded to do so. We will lead you and enable you. We don’t care why you need the rest of the day off or and certainly no need to see you stressed over how to ask for some time-off.
