We are looking for a "Foreign Trade Specialist" to join our team!

Job Description

• Support and track day-to-day export and import operations
• Provide all necessary day-to-day support to external stakeholders for EMEA export and import shipments (e.g organizing the shipments etc.)
• Responsible for inbound and outbound shipments
• Maintain a close and effective relationship with Gen Era’s customs brokers to ensure timely and accurate customs clearances and releases
• Review and ensure that technology, instruments, consumables, and software products are correctly classified for export and import (both for HS tariff and import/export controls classification purposes)
• Maintain recordkeeping of import/export transactions
• Support KPI reporting and analysis for our customs transactions and customs broker performance
• Be a passionate member of the export/import team to pro-actively identify and resolve problems
• Support reconciliation activities with customs brokers for accuracy of information submitted to customs agencies
• Ensures liaison with local and/or regional business partners (logistics service providers, brokers etc.)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Logistics, Trade Compliance, Business Administration, International Trade, or another related field
• 5+ years experience in import/export operations
• Strong working knowledge of TR import/export regulations and customs requirements
• Knowledge of other regions’ import/export regulations is a plus (e.g., EMEA Region)
• Knowledge of classification, customs valuation methods, and COO determinations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, judgment, creativity, and flexibility.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively
• Detail-oriented and highly organized; ability to multi-task several tasks/projects at once
• Ability to adapt to rapid change, work with a sense of urgency, and effective time management
• Experienced in Microsoft Office, Logo
• Excellent verbal and written skills in English
• Experience in the life science or medical device industry is considered a plus
