QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Supervises and coordinate the overall on site transport, erection and assembly of GE wind turbines.
This is an 18 months fixed term contract.
-Conduct, lead and oversee all installation and documentation activities at assigned projects based at site.
-Schedule and coordinate work and Installation activities with installation and crane subcontractor
-Pro-actively manage problems / issues and identify improvement opportunities across the wind turbine transport, erection and assembly
-Assist the Site Manager with overall contractor coordination, planning and management
-Ensure compliance of site activities with safety and quality standards as set by GE and client.
-Communicate with Customer and Contractor in a professional manner, promoting a cohesive environment to work together as a team for the site’s success
-Ensure all installation deliverables are met within contractual requirements and set deadlines.
-Maintain and promote EHS, safety and quality culture Report, communicate and escalate installation site status, progress and issues.
-Closeout of all site subcontracts with fair and proper allocation of costs and minimizing impact
Qualifications / Requirements:
-Bachelors’ degree in a related discipline from an accredited university, institution OR equivalent knowledge and experience.
-Familiarity with GE Wind Turbine Installation is a plus
-At least 5 years’ experience with installation and mechanical completion of Wind Turbines.
-Ability and willingness to work on weekends, public-vacation, shift-work
-Ability to mentor and train new Installation TA’s
-Driver's licence required
-Ability to work at Height
-Fluent in English
-Ability and willingness to work across multiple business functions
-Ability to travel to domestic and international locations for work and/or training for extended periods of time
-PC knowledge of Microsoft applications
