Process Quality Engineer

Product quality review associated with the manufacturing process. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Ownership includes both quality assurance and quality control. Includes quality assurance of products, services, manufacturing processes. Includes conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, witness points, etc.
• Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
• Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
• May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
• A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree from Engineering
•  Min. 5 years of experience in Production / Manufacturing Quality process
• Experience in technical documentation like work Instructions, control plans
• Knowledge of AIAG standards (PPAP, MSA, FMEA, LPA, APQP)
• Knowledge of Quality systems including ISO 9001, preferably with an auditor certificate
• Auditing experience and certification audit experience and system set up knowledge
• Good at internal and external customer relationship, by building trust.
• Knowledge of CAPA (corrective and preventive action), 8D, root cause analysis (RCA)
• Fluency in English to speak with global partners or with customers

Desired Qualifications:

•  Mechanical, Metallurgical & Materials or Industrial Engineering degree would be a plus
• Experience in composite production will be a strong adder
• Must have the desire to be a valuable contributor and willing to work flexible hours to solve problems whenever necessary
• Energetic and self-motivated individual
• Ability to receive constructive criticism and implement necessary changes.
• Must be “hands-on” and practical with ‘can-do’ attitude
• Able to accompany production in shifts to make audits
• Living in Bergama, Dikili and/or Ayvalık location is a plus
