Job Description:

• Execute the facility EHS strategy, objectives, goals and targets in plant.
• Facilitate conformance to EHS Management System.
• Provide technical expertise and governance on EHS topics.
• Support the facility in performing routine checks / inspection of plant work areas, equipment, in order to verify identification, understanding and control of EHS risks.
• Report and communicate EHS findings / opportunities for improvement to ensure that immediate actions or interim risk solutions are taken.
• Ensure that all reporting requirements are completed on time.
• Assist in the development of annual operating budgets. Track spend (etc.) plan. Managing the budget in compliance with financial control procedures for specific projects.

General Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Requires advanced level in English.
• Experience in a chemical / pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience related to EHS. 
• Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and operate in a matrixed environment. 
• Advanced knowledge and competence in several functional areas in EHS.
• Proven expertise in some of the following areas:

1. EHS Management systems,
2. EHS risk identification and control,
3. EHS regulatory requirements,
4. Environmental aspects / impacts evaluation and control,
5. Process safety management,
6. Risk assessment methodologies such as ZHA/PRORA, HAZOP,
7. Management of EHS High risk activities incl. electrical work, work at height, hot work, use of lifting equipment, chemical.
