We are looking for Foreign Trade Specialist for our company that is working in the defense industry in Beyoğlu / Istanbul.

Qualifications

•          Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economy, International Relations and Political Science, Logistics, Foreign Trade, or similar fields.

•          5+ years’ experience in export operations, regulations, and customs requirements,

•          Knowledge of EMEA and AP Region’s export regulations is a plus,

•          Knowledge of classification, customs valuation methods,

•          Experience with customs documentation, and knowledge of international trade terms and requirements,

•          Detail-oriented and highly organized; ability to multi-task several tasks/projects at once

•          Fluent in written and spoken English

•          Advanced knowledge MS Office

Job Description

•          Provide all necessary day-to-day support to external stakeholders for export shipments (e.g organizing the shipments and operations),

•          Maintain recordkeeping of export transactions,

•          Preparing monthly and annually reports,

•          Maintain a close and effective relationship with our company’s customs brokers to ensure timely and accurate customs clearances and releases,

•          Checking shipment documents and, receiving tenders from logistics companies according to types of logistic activities,

•          Support reconciliation activities with customs brokers for accuracy of information submitted to customs agencies

•          Ensures liaison with local business partners (logistics service providers, brokers, etc.)

•          Follow-up the process of permission to be taken from official institutions within the scope of the export,

•          Checking the expenses and documents which are coming from the customs broker. Determining the excess costs, if any, ensuring that they are corrected, and also communicating expenses to accounting.

•          Analyzing offers commercially and developing cost-saving projects.
