Electrical Supervisor

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Electrical Supervisor will provide day to day supervision of the Electrical subcontractors in the delivery of work, to meet safety, operational reliability, quality, financial and productivity targets. Electrical supervisor will oversee a team of electricians and train the staff, create work schedules, provide technical assistance, and troubleshoot system issues. May also be required to maintain and repair the electrical equipment used on-site.

Providing supervision of multiple activities and work groups ensuring consistency, efficiency and continuous improvement of delivery. To contribute to success of the project through:

Responsibilities:

• Supervision and control of electrical construction activities.
• Designing and implementing work schedules for the electrical staff.
• Inspecting and assessing the work done by the electrical staff.
• Reading and interpreting design schematics to ensure the proper installation of electrical systems.
• Troubleshooting major system failures and equipment malfunctions.
• Repairing and maintaining electrical equipment.
• Overseeing the purchasing and maintenance of the electrical equipment on-site.
• Ensuring the work is completed on schedule and to code.
• Supervise subcontractors work on behalf of Owner to ensure safety, quality and technical correctness in line with drawings, specifications and technical standards
• Coordinate with Project Manager materials and design delivery to support construction activities
• Perform high against measurable construction targets as part of the overall project parameters
• Maintaining a safe and clean work area.

Skills / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a similar field.
• Minimum 8 years experience in Industrial Project Construction and Execution
• In-depth knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems.
• Experience in Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Familiarity with state electrical and safety codes.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills.
• Capable of reading drawings and schematics
• Strong knowledge of Safety and Environmental Regulations
• Working knowledge of MS Office
• Good communication abilities
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Proven team player skills with ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships
