Environmental Engineer

We are looking for a “Environmental Engineer” to be charged in our factory, which will produce bags from kraft paper.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Manage waste management process, follow up waste records, prepare legal declarations for the Ministry of Environment,
• Take active role in documentation process and making necessary revisions on ISO 14001 & other management systems,
• Take active role in sustainability projects,
• Give awareness trainings about environment for all employees,
• Organize, perform and report environment impact assessments,
• Follow up of legal requirements and adopt to new legislations,
• Manage relations with municipality and ministry,
• Follow up of regulatory permits and license activities and support in ensuring full compliance with Turkish Environmental Law and applicable regulations,
• Knowledge of Quality Management systems,
• Actively involved in quality audits,
• Identify potential risks for production delivery,
• Prioritize and plan potential risks
• Proactively manage changes in production scope, resource and timeline
• Following up the production stages and outputs and communicating continuously with internal/external stakeholders
• Following up user acceptance tests and overseeing quality control throughout the production.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor Degree in Environmental Engineering,
• Minimum 2 years field experience in a company/Project,
• Having a deep knowledge of national environmental legislation (environmental permitting and auditing, waste management, chemical handling and storage, water management, etc),
• Fluent English in both spoken and written,
• Good in planning & organization, problem solving & decision making,
• Preferably be trained in ISO 14001 and good knowledge of international and national standarts of environment,
• Preferably residing in Karşıyaka/Çiğli/Menemen/Aliağa region.
