QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose:

This role is responsible for assisting in the development of B2C communications that is targeted at Retail Consumers. The role will work very closely with the Global Marketing & Communications Leads for our Global Communications Platform and Non Fuels Retail portfolio. This includes all aspects of the development, production and effective deployment of materials for centrally developed 360 campaigns.
This role is critical for company to deliver truly integrated simple and effective communications, as 2020 will see the launch of an integrated retail communications platform.

Accountabilities              .

·        Assist with the development of the Global Comms. Strategy, development, production and implementation.

·        Work closely with the Retail Brand and Global Media teams to ensure customer media insights/habits/behaviors are used to help inform development of Globally relevant communication for b2c business.

·        Interface with other Retail MarComms leads to ensure consistency ofretail communications platform messaging, both internal and external, looking for synergies where possible with NFR/Fuels/Lubes etc.

·        Lead the collaboration with key markets to identify/celebrate local communication best practice and facilitate shared learnings and adoption by other markets where appropriate.

·        Assist markets in Consumer facing development of local communication where needed to realize the business potential and deliver value.

·        Track the Retail SP&A (accrued vs. actual), support & coordinate with Retail Marketing Focal Point for Purchase Order generation and invoicing. Track progress of invoices with theagencies to ensure effective and efficient delivery of marketing activities on time and on budget, leveraging the global contractual obligations in coordination with CP

·        Participate the agency business review meetings and evaluations to provide constructive feedback for improvements.

  • Provide direction and leadership to the agencies in the development of Marketing campaigns (inclusive of ATL, BTL activations, Forecourt branding, PR programs, Digital / social media, events, site staff / retailer programs, Employee Engagement and communications). 
  • Ensure all local initiatives are approved and in compliance with the health & safety & security and environment policies, brand guidelines, processes and policies utilizing the designated global channels (visual identity check, Retail brand check, askbrand etc.) elevating any areas of concern or need for additional support

 

Special Challenges:

·        This role also plays a significant part in the local market engagements, esp. in the region of NA and Europe, hence ability to influence, engage and support stakeholders is a critical skill set.

·        Global role may bring the need for early/late time calls and a reasonable amount of global travel.

·        Comfortable with ambiguity and change.

·        Work very effectively in multi-cultural virtual teams.

·        All applicants must be fluent in English.

·        No military obligation for male candidates.

Experience Required:

·        4+ years’ experience in marketing and communications, brand management, or advertising account management would be preferred. 

·        An ability to grasp comms strategy and strategic challenges the brands face

·        Experience in the development of broader business strategy beyond communications

·        A demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders effectively, building strong relationships and managing 3rd party relationships

·        Experience of how agencies operate, how best to manage them and how to build mutually valuable partnerships.
